PRESCHOOL
Mission Statement
The Church believes that each child is a child of God and should have every opportunity to develop to the fullest potential; therefore, the mission of Bethlehem Preschool is to provide a Christian atmosphere that will help a child grow physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually.
About Us
Bethlehem Preschool was established in 1967 and is a licensed program with the State of Tennessee. To achieve our Mission, we structure our play and learning around the philosophies of Creative Curriculum. This allows teachers and staff to plan meaningful learning activities that are developmentally appropriate, child-initiated and teacher directed. Classes are offered for children aged 12 months through pre-Kindergarten. *must be 12-months by Aug. 15*
The curriculum allows us to assess the children’s development in four key areas:
social-emotional
physical
cognitive
language development
In a Creative Curriculum classroom, students learn literacy, math, science, social studies, art, technology and processing skills through intentional play and teaching. Students and teachers investigate topics of study that allow teachers to determine the children’s strengths and individualize instruction based on their level of development.
Students also participate in Music and Movement classes and Chapel, following a biblical curriculum from the Creation to Easter.
