Weekly Greeting - October 6th, 2023
Dear Bethlehem Family,
God is at work at Bethlehem! I am looking forward to serving on an Emmaus walk team this weekend with Jim Melrose. Jim was a long standing member of Bethlehem and is now serving as a local pastor in our district. You might have seen the video we showed with Jim and his wife, Jane, recently in worship announcing the upcoming walk.
The Walk to Emmaus develops Christian leaders by inspiring, challenging, and equipping active adult church members for Christian action in their homes, workplaces, and communities.
It begins with a 72-hour short course in Christianity that is wrapped in prayer and acts of sacrificial service. It continues for the rest of the participant’s lives with Emmaus related events and their connection to their local church.
Please pray that our team will work together as we allow God to speak to and through us.
Blessings,
Craig
We are continuing our new worship series, Beauty from Ashes: Discovering a Life of Gratitude this week. Our text is 1 Peter 3:15.
Through this stewardship series, we are exploring how our membership vows connect with following Jesus. This week we will focus on witnessing as a means of grace. Take a moment to meditate on our text and thank God for those who shared the good news with you. God is good, all the time!
