Church Has Left the Building

Holy Week has many opportunities for you to prepare for Easter Sunday. Bethlehem will have services on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. See the info below for the details:

From now until Monday (April 21) on the church grounds, you’ll find the beautifully illustrated, 'Twas the Morning of Easter story walk. This is a self-guided walk that begins in the parking lot near the main entrance -- look for the large whirlygig.

Maundy Thursday Service at 7:00 p.m. on April 17. This service will be a drama of the Last Supper and will be held in the Banquet Hall. Please enter the building at Entrance 3 (Youth Hall, between the buildings). This service will include a hand/foot (optional, you choose) washing and communion. Since this is a family oriented service, NO nursery will be offered.

Good Friday Service at 7:00 p.m. on April 18. This service will be held in the Sanctuary with scripture readings and songs remembering the crucifixion. Nursery will be provided for children up to kindergarten age.

Easter Egg Hunt at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 19. There will be a lot of eggs (candy!), activities and fun. Be sure to bring your Easter basket to find eggs and join the activities.

Easter Cross Sunday, April 20. There will be a wooden cross located in the Angel Garden between the Old and New Sanctuaries Sunday morning. Everyone is invited to visit the Angel Garden before the 10:15 worship service and to place a flower on the cross. The flowering cross represents the transition from Good Friday to Easter, from meditation on Jesus' death to joyful celebration of his resurrection and also as a continuing presence of Christ among Christians today. It also will provide a beautiful family photo opportunity for Easter. Special thanks to Georgann McCoy and her team of Garden Angels for providing the flowers.

Easter Sunrise Service at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, April 20. This service will be held outside the Old Sanctuary, weather permitting. If needed, it will be held in the Old Sanctuary.

Easter Worship Service at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, April 20. This service will be held in the Sanctuary. Please be aware that we may have many visitors and they may have questions for you. Also, please leave the Visitor Parking Spaces near the Main Entrance (Sanctuary Entrance) for our guests. Nursery will be provided as normal for Sunday morning Sunday School and Worship.

Church Office Closed Monday, April 21. The church will be closed Monday. If you have a pastoral emergency, please contact Dr. Craig Goff (615-337-4281) or Rev. Terry Carty (615-512-8821). Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, April 22.

Church Has Left the Building, Sunday April 27. There will be one worship service at 9:00 a.m. with an infant baptism and communion prior to everyone leaving to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the community.
