Weekly Greeting - June 30th, 2023
In his famous book, “Why Am I Afraid to Tell You Who I Am?” John Powell has said:
“Our word communication refers to a process by which someone or something is made common, that is, it is shared.”
We are working hard to improve our channels of communication here at Bethlehem. God is at work, there is a lot going on, and we want everyone to know about it. We have updated our website and newsletter and as we have mentioned recently in worship, will soon be updating other forms of social media. We are also focusing on making Church Council and Finance information more readily available as I promised at our recent Charge Conference with Dr. Wilson.
As we all know, any time there is change, there will be kinks to work out and tweaking that will have to take place. Please let me or anyone on staff know if you have suggestions for improving communication here at Bethlehem and please help us share how God is at work in so many ways among and through the great people of our congregation.
Peace and blessings,
Craig

This Sunday is communion Sunday and the closest Sunday to Independence Day. Our text for the week is 2 Samuel 6:1-15. I invite you to read through the text and reflect on what God might be saying to us today in light of such an ancient but exciting story. We will have one service at 9:30. Consider inviting a guest as we worship together. God is at work in Bethlehem!
