Weekly Greeting - January 26, 2024

Dear Bethlehem Family,

During worship this past Sunday, I mentioned a Conference event being held at Brentwood United Methodist Church’s Haney Hall on February 6th at 6:30 p.m.

Dr. Jemar Tisby, who is a historian and author of the best-selling book, The Color of Compromise, will lead a discussion on how to make our communities more unified and hopeful.  A time of question and answer will follow.  The event is free, but requires registration.  Learn more (https://mcusercontent.com/de49ef7a5b28451f267c7c189/_compresseds/730d6e24-14dc-1233-2803-1e89d48537bb.jpg).

We continue our series, Fresh Start: Make This Year Count this Sunday.  Our text is Mark 1:14-20.  Have you ever thought about how the families of the first disciples of Jesus were impacted by their decisions to leave everything they had known behind and start a new life following Jesus throughout Judea?  It can be easy for us to forget how fundamental and massive a change it is for us to say yes to following Jesus.  Come to worship ready to hear how our lives can be different in both big and seemingly little ways as we live as the disciples of Jesus.  Let’s make this year count!
