Weekly Greeting - July 26, 2024

Dear Bethlehem,

During Joys and Concerns time this past week, I mentioned a God sighting I experienced while out celebrating my daughter’s 30th birthday on a pontoon boat out on Old Hickory Lake.  One of her friends found a pendant on the floor of the boat.  He asked everyone if it belonged to them.  Another friend said, “yes, it’s mine.  It’s broken, just throw it away.”  He held it in his hands and said, “It’s beautiful.  I can do something with this.  I can’t throw it away.”

As he spoke those words it occurred to me, that is what God says to each one of us.  We are not perfect, some of us are broken, but God says to us, “You are beautiful.  I can do something with you.  I will not throw you away.”

We serve an awesome and merciful God.  We are beautiful because God loves us and created us.  What a blessing to worship and serve such a wonderful God!

God bless!

Craig
