Weekly Greeting - December 31st, 2023
This Sunday will be the very last Sunday of 2023. I am so grateful to serve as your pastor and to be part of the Bethlehem church family. God has blessed us in so many ways this past year and has guided us through many challenges.
The great Methodist hymn writer, Charles Wesley, who knew what it was like to face the challenges of living faithfully in community wrote a beautiful song in 1749 found in our hymnal we still sing today:
And are we yet alive and see each other’s face?
Glory and thanks to Jesus give for his almighty grace!
As we enter a new year together may we go forth giving thanks to Jesus for the gift of salvation as we worship and seek to serve God together. I so look forward to seeing what God has in store for us in 2024. Thanks again for the privilege of worshipping and serving God with you!
Blessings,
Craig
This Sunday is the very last Sunday of the year and the first Sunday after Christmas Day. We will gather for one worship service at 9:30. Rev. Steven Christopher will be preaching from Galatians 4:4-7. Take time to read through the text as you prepare for worship and we celebrate God’s grace offered to us all through Jesus Christ.
Rev. Steven Christopher is an elder in the United Methodist Church and an attorney. He recently played piano here at Bethlehem during our special fifth Sunday worship service.
