Weekly Greeting - April 18, 2025

Greetings friends,

We begin the season of Easter this week!

Easter allows us a wonderful opportunity to focus on what is most important in the world and in our lives.

In his book, You Are What You Love, author James A.K. Smith tell us that to say you are what you love is essentially the same as saying you are what you worship.  He goes on to quote the great reformer Martin Luther who once said, “Whatever your heart clings too and confides in, that is your god.”

During the season of Easter, we are reminded that power is not ultimately in the hands of those with the most wealth or the greatest military might, but in God who raised Jesus from the dead and can bring life to all the dead places in our lives.

May we cling to, and confide in the God who loves us more than we can even begin to imagine, who alone possesses real power and who sent His son to bring us full and free salvation!  Happy Easter!

Blessings,

Craig

Join us for worship this Sunday as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and conclude our Soul Food Lenten-Easter worship series.  Our text this week will be Luke 24:1-9 as we are reminded of what is most important about this wonderful season and about living as God‘s children in this dark world.  This is a great time to be part of the Bethlehem family!
