THIS WEEK:
Sunday School – Every Sunday - 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Join us in the Banquet Hall Kitchen to start our week with breakfast and fellowship. From there we head to the Youth Classrooms to look for the word of God in our day-to-day.
New for Fall we’ll rotate between our study options. We’ll spend about a month on AV club and a month on Youth curriculum. We’ll also pop in a Sunday trivia game periodically.
Topics will include:
AV Club where we watch a popular movie (rated PG and above) and discuss Bible stories and their connection to the movie
Youth Study and Discussion focused in the Wesleyan Tradition
Bible Trivia or Pictionary - With Prizes!
Sunday Evening 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. Join the youth and their families for the Back To School Bash this coming Sunday (August 6) from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. This is a youth family picnic with outdoor games, a potluck and other fun things – since this is a potluck, families with last names starting with an A-L should bring a side dish, and last names M-Z should bring desserts. Gather in the Banquet Hall for the meal, and instructions for other activities will be given as the night progresses. Please contact Jen McQuiston (jdmcquiston@comcast.net) for more info or questions.
The parents’ meeting will be from 7:00 - 7:30 in one of the youth rooms. Parents are encouraged to come for the meal and bash with their full families and at 7:00 parents will go to the parents’ meeting while youth and siblings will continue with the bash. Hope to see all youth (6th to 12th grades) and their families Sunday night!

Monthly Mission – August 13
Every second Sunday of the month we collect food items to be donated to those less fortunate. The next collection will be Sunday, August 13 when we will collect peanut butter and jelly. Please plan to bring your peanut butter and jelly to the altar during the singing of the first hymn/song during the worship service.
Meals on Wheels has experienced an increased demand for persons needing meals. If you can spare a couple of hours once a month to help deliver meals, please contact Brenda Wilhoite (615-473-5217) for more info.

Issues of the July/August Upper Room are now available in the Narthex and the black mailbox just outside the Sanctuary doors. Contact Dana Smyth if you have questions or need more info.
If you’re moving through a particularly difficult place in life perhaps a Stephen Minister could help. We currently have Stephen Ministers available to help you through a difficult journey. Please email Pastor Craig Goff or Pat Smith or call them at 615-794-6721.
If you have surgery planned or are ever in the hospital unexpectedly, please let the church know. You can email Dana Smyth or call the church office (615-794-6721). She will forward the information to the staff.
