Weekly Greeting - June 28, 2024

Dear Bethlehem,

The third Tennessee-Western Kentucky Annual Conference concluded June 19 at Murfreesboro First United Methodist Church.  It was a wonderful blessing to be together with pastors and laity from churches across our conference.  Over one thousand people attended in person with hundreds joining us virtually.  Rev. Dr. Vona Wilson who served as interim pastor here at Bethlehem just before I arrived and as our District Superintendent until this annual conference, preached a moving memorial service on Tuesday.

Rev. Terry Carty and I attended as clergy members, Rebecca Little, Stephanie Goff, and Jim Allen attended as at-large Harpeth District members, Dianne Holland attended as our lay member and Karen Ward attended as an employee of one of the General Agencies of the United Methodist Church and our alternate member.

The conference concluded with Bishop McAlilly preaching his last sermon as our bishop.  We pray for Bishop McAlilly and for our new bishop who will begin serving soon.

God bless!

Craig
