Scuba VBS Was a Huge Success!

We had an amazing week at Scuba VBS!  With 75 kids registered and some 45 volunteers, we dove into friendships with each other and friendship with God.  God is a friend who is real.  We can trust Him because God is faithful.  God loves us and others, even when we don't love others.  Thanks to God that our friendship with you is one that lasts forever!  We raised over $1,300 to help hatch hope in Haiti by purchasing chickens, supporting local farmers in learning how to get the best egg production, and buying their extra eggs for a breakfast program for children; all while offering the hope of Jesus.

    Children’s Church

Please make sure that you use the Sign Up sheets in the Narthex to register your children.  If possible, please sign them in before the service begins.  Children's church is offered during each service.

    Worship Bags

Worship bags are on the hooks in the hallway across from Pastor Craig’s office.  Keep us in mind if you get tired of your Rubik's cubes or other quiet gadgets and want to donate new or lightly used items.

    Nursery Available

Nursery is available for children 3 and under, on Sunday mornings from 8:10 a.m. through the end of the 10:45 service.

Friends and guests between 6th and 12th grade are always welcome at all of our youth events!

    Dear Parents and Youth,

We hope everyone is staying cool this week wherever you may be!  We’re back to our regular schedule this week with Sunday school and youth group.  On Sunday morning, we’re continuing our study on The Beatitudes from the Gospel of Matthew.  This passage is full of wisdom that will enrich young people and adults by exploring Jesus’ vision of God’s inclusive kingdom, observing how Jesus turned expectations and traditional beliefs about being blessed upside down, and imagining ways to live into the promises of Jesus’ Beatitudes.

Youth group will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.  We’ll have dinner, play some games and build community.

“Dear God, Let us revel in summer.  Let us soak up the long days and warm sun.  May our feet walk on sandy beaches and our heads rest on thick grass under blue skies.  May we listen to and marvel at the singing of the birds and stop to watch blissful children at play.  This summer, God, may our breathing slow and our hearts open.  God help us to be present to all that is so that we might best see all that might be.”

As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

    Peace,

    Alison Bocking+

    Director of Youth Ministries
