Friends and guests between 6th and 12th grade are always welcome at all of our youth events!

    Dear Parents and Youth,

What a fun week of Scuba VBS! I’m so proud of all our youth who have showed up to serve the children of Bethlehem UMC and beyond.  They’ve done a fantastic job! We will wrap up tomorrow.  We’d love for everyone to stick around for cleanup and lunch.  Ms. April will be ordering pizza for the crew.  Come help us get the church ready for Sunday.

Sunday school continues this week.  We’ll be continuing our study on The Beatitudes from the Gospel of Matthew.  This passage is full of wisdom that will enrich young people and adults by exploring Jesus’ vision of God’s inclusive kingdom, observing how Jesus turned expectations and traditional beliefs about being blessed upside down, and imagining ways to live into the promises of Jesus’ Beatitudes.

No youth group on Sunday night; we’re off for Father’s Day!  Youth group will resume on June 23, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

“Lord of the platypus and the otter, your playfulness pervades the earth.  Just as you called children to you, help me to remember myself as your child.  Take the weight of solemnity off my chest, and replace it with delight and curiosity.  Source of Joy, help me see the opportunities for playfulness and laughter in life around me, and let me be inspired to participate in your good gifts.  Help holy merriment overflow abundantly in my life, as a light that reflects you.  Amen.”

As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

    Peace,

    Alison Bocking+

    Director of Youth Ministries
