Weekly Greeting - November 29, 2024
Greetings friends,
Hector Simms was a Room in the Inn guest here at Bethlehem. Early Sunday morning, a few weeks ago, he collapsed in the bathroom in the gym. Our innkeepers called an ambulance and he was taken to the emergency room. He has been on our prayer list and several of our members have asked me about him and are praying for him.
During this Thanksgiving holiday season, one of the things for which I am most grateful is being a part of a church that opens our doors to those in need. I am grateful for all the prayers that have been lifted for Mr. Simms. I am grateful for everyone who helped sort food during Share the Feast Day and purchased turkeys for the food insecure in our community. I am grateful for everyone who helped out with Operation Christmas Child. We are blessed to be a blessing. It is truly an honor to serve as one of the pastors of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.
Blessings,
Craig __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
This week is the first Sunday of Advent and our Hanging of the Greens service. Our theme for this advent season is “Almost Christmas: A Wesleyan Advent Experience.” Our text for this Sunday is Luke 2:29-33. It is easy to lose sight of the immeasurable blessing of Jesus entering our world as our Savior, Lord, and King. What an amazing God we worship and serve! Please join us each week as we honor the One who loves us and has given us the greatest gift imaginable!
