Weekly Greeting - September 13, 2024
Greetings friends,
When I served as an associate pastor in Lake Jackson, Texas, I volunteered as a chaplain at a little Christian school. I loved it. They held a chapel service every day. I did not have to speak every day in chapel, but I scheduled all of the speakers.
We sang a lot of songs during those chapel services, but there was one song we sang at every Chapel service. You can find it in the United Methodist hymnal on page 600:
Sing them over again to me wonderful words of life. Let me more of their beauty see wonderful words of life, words of life and beauty teach me faith and duty, beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life….
It was an honor for me to take part in the spiritual development of those students. This Sunday we have the awesome opportunity of presenting Bibles to third graders who are members of Bethlehem or whose families attend our church.
What an incredible blessing to be able to invest in the lives of young children. Thank you for all you do to make it possible for us to present Bibles to those students.
God’s word is wonderful. God’s word points to Jesus, the Lord and Savior of all the world.
Blessings,
Craig

We are continuing our “Roots” worship series. This week our theme is “Grace.” Our text is Ephesians 2:4-10.
Grace is a gift of God’s Spirit that enables us to love God and one another. Join us for worship this Sunday and for a study on Grace during the Sunday school hour in the Banquet Hall. God is doing something great at Bethlehem!
