What topics or area of study does each class cover?

We offer discussion and thought-proving theological conversations and Bible study. Most typically, each quarter we self-select a popular book or Bible study based on class interest. Weekly discussion is lead by a volunteer facilitator from our class, no one is obligated to lead, but is invited to do so if they would like.

What age range is this class aimed at or is it open to all?

Open to all!

If topics rotate, what topics have been covered by this class in the past, is there a topic set that these classes tend to lean towards?

Examples of authors includes: Adam Hamilton and other UMC publications, Other interest authors are Kyle Idleman, C.S. Lewis, Richard Rohr, Rachel Held Evan and other contemporary theologians.

Does the class look at issues pulled from the headlines or does it look at modern day theologians? What contemporary topic scope does it cover, if any?

We begin each class with prayer requests, and often include reflections and contemplations on current events both inside and outside the church and local community. We are a globally-minded class, greatly interested in the work of the church in our backyard, our nation, and around the world.

Does the class cover any topic? Is open to anyone? What can I expect if I wanted to attend this class?

If you attend, you can be expected to be welcomed with open arms. We have bi-monthly email communications with reminders, prayer requests, and service opportunities. In between studies (about every 3-4 months) we have a Fellowship Potluck, to enjoy breakfast together and invite new members to launch with us into the new study.

What is the aim of the class in the teaching choices and style?

We aim to create a no-fuss and low-stress environment for everyone to come as they are. We manage our time without losing sight of the real goal, which is be together, be authentic, share our lives, and invite God to be among us.

Who is your target audience for this?

We are a multigenerational, adult formation group that welcomes people from all stages of life. Open to singles, couples, parents, empty-nesters, and beyond.
