CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES

Hi, I’m April Jackson…

Director of Children’s Ministries and mom of Blake, Kate and David.

At Bethlehem United Methodist Church, we know that no 2 children are alike. Some children love to read, while others love to dance, draw, build, or just plain wiggle. We celebrate these differences as we share God’s love and explore Bible stories through drama, games, music and more.

Sunday School, small group study, is available for all ages at 9:30 a.m.

We also have small group time for children during our 8:15 and 10:45 services. Children start the hour in the Sanctuary, where they join in worship and prayer. Children leave for small group time with their adult leaders before the sermon and return during the closing song.

There is also programming offered on several Sunday evenings.

Whether you are new to the Nashville area, you’ve never been to church in your life, or you’re looking for a place that fits your family, you are invited.

Join us this Sunday!

Annual Programming

Mission Activities

Children are invited to serve God through their actions and support causes such as Feed America First, Kiva.org and Williamson County Animal Control.

Bibles for Third Graders

Each fall every third grader receives a new Bible with his or her name imprinted on it. The children also look forward to a Lunch and Learn at the church where they learn more about how to use their new Bibles. Bible Storybooks are given to kindergarteners.

Christmas Eve Service

A special service for our children is held on Christmas Eve at 4:30 p.m. Children can participate as angels, shepherds, wise men and animals in the retelling of the Christmas story.

Easter Egg Hunt

The Saturday before Easter is always an exciting day at Bethlehem!  Children fifth grade and younger are invited to an Easter egg hunt on the church grounds.  Activities are also provided for the children following the Egg Hunt including an Easter Story Walk that includes 15 stations on the church grounds.

Summertime Fun

Vacation Bible School

Children from four-years-old through graduated fifth graders are invited to participate. Children will enjoy science, crafts, storytelling, music, games and snacks. Many youth and adults help make this the most fun week of summer vacation.
