    Dear Parents and Youth,

In one week, it’s going to be May! Sunday school continues this week with our study on Connecting Faith and Justice. Youth group is back to our normal schedule from 5-7 pm. We are in need of a family to provide dinner on Sunday night. If you would like to sign up, please email me and let me know. If you would like to sponsor the meal with a donation, we can handle the ordering and pickup.

As the school year is winding to a close, I am getting really excited about sweet summertime. I love summer for the opportunities and freedom it brings to build relationships with one another and our neighbors. We would love to partner with our families to make it a fun season. Do you have a big yard? A pool? Secret treasure? Let us know! We’d love to have you host youth group or other special event.

Save the date! Summer mission opportunities: June 23-27 and July 14-18. All the details and registration coming next week. Mission trips are community-building events in which we put into action what we are learning spiritually. Each summer, we travel near and far to share God’s love. Mission trips include project work, shared meals, connections with members of the community, worship and reflection, socializing, and fun. Through these experiences, we build friendships, create bonds with people in the communities we serve, and deepen our faith.

Jesus, you are the true vine, and we are your branches. By your grace and through the Holy Spirit, keep us connected to you so that we produce fruit that glorifies your Father. Amen.

As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

    Peace,

    Alison Bocking+

    Director of Youth Ministries
